Raymond Khoury was born in Lebanon but spent his teenage years in Rye, New York, where his family moved in 1975 to escape the Lebanese Civil War. After working as an architect and an investment banker, Khoury began writing screenplays. He worked for 6 years on The Last Templar in screenplay form before shaping it into his first novel, which became an international bestseller. Khoury lives in London with his wife and their two young daughters. Khoury was raised Roman Catholic but does not consider himself to be particularly religious.
